When
you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes,
I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. When times
get rough
And friends just can't be found,
Like a bridge over troubled
water
I will lay me down.
When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
I'll take your part.
When darkness comes
And pain is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled
water
I will lay me down.
Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their
way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled
water
I will ease your mind.

Now that I've lost everything to you
You say you wanna start something
new
And it's breakin' my heart you're
leavin'
Baby, I'm grievin'
But if you wanna leave, take good
care
I hope you have a lot of nice things
to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn
bad out there
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild
world
It's hard to get by just upon a
smile
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a
child, girl
You know I've seen
a lot of what the world can do
And it's breakin'
my heart in two
Because I never wanna
see you a sad girl
Don't be a bad girl
But if you wanna leave,
take good care
I hope you make a
lot of nice friends out there
But just remember
there's a lot of bad and beware

When you're
down and troubled
and you need
a helping hand
and nothing,
nothing is going right.
Close your
eyes and think of me
and soon I
will be there
to brighten
up even your darkest nights.
You just call
out my name,
and you know
wherever I am
I'll come running,
to see you
again.
Winter, spring,
summer, or fall,
all you have
to do is call
and I'll be
there.
You've got
a friend.
If the sky above
you
should turn
dark and full of clouds
and that old
north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head
together and call my name out loud
and soon I
will be knocking upon your door.
You just call
out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running
to see you again.
Winter, spring,
summer or fall
all you got
to do is call
and I'll be
there.
Hey, ain't it
good to know that you've got a friend?
People can
be so cold.
They'll hurt
you and desert you.
Well they'll
take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but
don't you let them.

For AA
Well I'll be damned
Here comes your ghost again
But that's not unusual
It's just that the moon is full
And you happened to call
And here I sit
Hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I'd known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall
As I remember your
eyes
Were bluer than
robin's eggs
My poetry was lousy
you said
Where are you calling
from?
A booth in the
midwest
Ten years ago
I bought you some
cufflinks
You brought me something
We both know what memories
can bring
They bring diamonds and rust
Well you burst on the scene
Already a legend
The unwashed phenomenon
The original vagabond
You strayed into my arms
And there you stayed
Temporarily lost at sea
The Madonna was
yours for free
Yes the girl on
the half-shell
Would keep you
unharmed
Now I see you standing
With brown leaves falling around
And snow in your
hair
Now you're smiling
out the window
Of that crummy
hotel
Over Washington
Square
Our breath comes out white clouds
Mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me
We both could have died then
and there
Now you're telling
me
You're not nostalgic
Then give me another word for it
You who are so
good with words
And at keeping
things vague
Because I need some of that vagueness
now
It's all come back too clearly
Yes I loved you dearly
And if you're offering me diamonds
and rust
I've already paid

...And then, no balloons
were flying month after month;
some attempts
-fueled only by habit
and enthusiasm, but lacking skill or style-
had failed
miserably and painfully.
Thus no more energy
was invested in flying.
Instead,
it was thought
that flying would
again be possible
only when a strong
sea breeze would come across.
So the crews were staying
idle,
just waiting,
hoping that there
would be
another chance to
fly
before their retirement.
In the meantime
they could only survive
on their past trophies
and on the hope
that every new sunrise
would bring them
closer to Entropy...
